Corporate partner Michael Ringler couldn’t stay away from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for long.

Ringler, a leader of Wilson’s M&A practice, defected to Kirkland & Ellis on Feb. 15. But last week he approached Wilson leaders about returning to the firm where he began his career, managing partner John Sheridan said. Wilson partners voted unanimously to welcome him back Saturday morning, and Ringler returned Monday.
