Davis Polk & Wardwell has bolstered its white-collar criminal defense practice with the hire of GREG ANDRES in New York from the Department of Justice.

Andres, who joins Davis Polk as a partner, has been a federal prosecutor for the past 13 years. He most recently served as deputy assistant attorney general in the Justice Department’s criminal division, where he oversaw the fraud and appellate sections. While in that post, Andres prosecuted ex-Credit Suisse broker Eric Butler, who was convicted in 2009 for his role in a $1 billion securities fraud scheme.
