Hugh Verrier has been in the legal game a long time. As such, he has seen a thing or two. Verrier joined White & Case in 1985 and was made partner in 1994. He ascended to chair in 2007 and ushered in one of the strongest periods of growth in the firm’s history.

Under Verrier’s stewardship, the firm went from 429 to 678 partners (a 58% increase), doubled its revenue from just over $1.37 billion to $2.83 billion and increased its net income from $523 million in 2007, Verrier’s first year as chair, to over $1 billion in fiscal 2022, an increase of 109%.
