Career prospects for the 78 attorneys laid off at Cooley last week may be limited in the current hiring environment. But headhunters said there are still jobs available, especially for out-of-work lawyers willing to re-deploy their skill sets for adjacent practice areas or other geographic markets—if they don’t want to depart Big Law life altogether.
