Greenberg Traurig announced on Tuesday the hiring of shareholder Frank Placenti to the firm’s Phoenix office, where Placenti will work as chair of Greenberg’s U.S. corporate governance practice after 15 years leading the same practice at Squire Patton Boggs.

Placenti works with corporate boards at Fortune 500 companies and middle-market firms in a variety of industries such as health care and real estate, counseling them on M&A, securities regulatory compliance, shareholder relations issues, internal investigations, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters.
