Firms have been slow to match Cravath, Swaine & Moore’s year-end bonus scale since the New York stalwart kicked off the season on Nov. 22. But global giant DLA Piper jumped into the fray Wednesday, giving its highest performing U.S. associates the opportunity to outpace Cravath.

All U.S. associates who meet the firm’s “high” expectations, earning a 3 on its 5-point-scale in performance evaluations, will qualify for bonuses ranging from $20,000 to $115,000. And associates earning 4s or 5s will qualify for even higher bonuses, according to a memo shared with the firm’s associates and confirmed by a DLA Piper spokesperson.
