The latest first-year associate salary survey from the National Association for Law Placement shows that, even with a pandemic challenging firms for the last year, new lawyer pay has increased.

The median first-year associate base salary, as of Jan. 1, 2021, was $165,000, up $10,000 from 2019, the last time the survey was conducted.
