A group of Pillsbury Madison & Sutro employee benefits attorneys is poised to walk out of the firm, while several other partners are being shown the door.

Pillsbury partner Jonathan Ocker, an employee benefits specialist, and at least three additional partners in that group are in the final rounds of negotiations with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Pillsbury’s firmwide managing partner Marina Park confirmed. Ocker, 46, is a longtime Pillsbury partner, specializing in advising high-technology and tax-exempt entities.
