Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, whose Hong Kong office experienced a seven-partner exodus in January, has hired a second Hong Kong partner in the space of two weeks—a sign that the firm continues to rebuild its office in the Asian city.

Funds partner Scott Peterman has joined Orrick from Jones Day, where he was most recently of counsel. Peterman advises on the formation of private equity funds, real estate funds and emerging markets exchange traded funds across China, Korea and Japan. He also advises on private-equity-related mergers and acquisitions. In 2015, he represented Hong Kong-based advertisement technology company Ignite Vision Holdings Ltd. on a private placement sale of shares in Japanese market research firm GMO Research.
