Less than three days remain for members of Georgia’s legal community to gather food and cash to support this year’s Georgia Legal Food Frenzy—and possibly win a big trophy in addition to helping feed hungry people.

The third annual competition, which runs through Friday, benefits the state’s seven food banks. Cans of soup and Chef Boyardee are accepted, but the easiest way to follow the race is on the competition website, which tracks online monetary donations.

As of lunchtime today, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton remained in the lead on that front with $6,935. The Georgia Trial Lawyers Association’s team was in second place with $4,805.

The competition includes honors based on total pounds of food collected and those based on pounds collected per person, with each dollar counting as four pounds of food. The top award, the Attorney General’s Cup, is awarded to the firm or legal organization that collects the most pounds per firm employee.

Other teams that have broken the $1,000 barrier in online donations are:

• McCalla Raymer

• Hunton & Williams

• Joe Habachy PC

• Paul Hastings

• McGuire Woods

• Alston & Bird

• Jenkins & Roberts

• Singleton Law Firm

• King & Spalding

• Georgia Department of Law

If your office hasn’t set up its own team, you can donate via the Daily Report’s team here.
