A “security incident” that rendered the Kansas Judicial Branch’s network and information system offline for the past three weeks is continuing to be investigated, but the cause and timing for when the e-filing system may be back up and running remains unknown, according to a courthouse spokeswoman.

The Kansas court system announced Oct. 12 that it was experiencing network issues affecting its electronic filing system and case management system, the district public access portal to search case information, as well as the appellate case inquiry system, and the Kansas attorney search, among others.
