An uninsured motorist claim brought in Morris County yielded a $750,000 settlement on June 13 for a man injured when a rock crashed through his windshield while he was driving on Interstate 80.

Plaintiff Brian Lapinski was driving westbound on Route 80 near Rockaway Mall when a rock crashed through his windshield and struck him in the head. Lapinski was rendered unconscious by the rock, and suffered fracture to his mastoid bone and facial lacerations, the suit alleged.
