Recruiting top talent from rivals and maintaining balanced demand across practices, Sidley Austin eclipsed the $3 billion mark last year, growing revenue by more than 6% to $3.1 billion while also expanding profits per equity partner by more than 10% to nearly $4.6 million.

The growth in PEP comes amid a 7% fall in the equity tier, down to about 266 partners. Meanwhile, the firm grew its nonequity partner ranks by nearly 8% to about 421 partners, as total nonequity compensation grew by 10%.
