Demoralized. Discredited. Dysfunctional. These are among the words used to sum up the state of the Justice Department under the watch of Alberto Gonzales. With ongoing internal and congressional investigations into the U.S. Attorneys firings, the controversial warrantless surveillance program, the politicization of the Civil Rights Division and Gonzales' own testimony to Congress, it's hard to find observers who will step out and put a positive spin on Gonzales' tenure.
