Florida Justice Raoul G. Cantero III is gaining support as a possible contender for the U.S. Supreme Court. Court watchers say his ties to the president's brother, conservative views and Cuban-American background may help such a campaign. But Cantero isn't well known in conservative legal circles nationally, and his state judge role might be a problem. Justices Sandra Day O'Connor and David Souter, both from state courts, were seen as surprising conservative observers with some of their decisions.
