Tort Reform Infomercial Sparks Privacy Suit

Bob Blissitt was shocked when he realized a tort reform infomercial included emergency room footage of his elderly mother, shown strapped down on a stretcher and attached to an oxygen hose after her mini-stroke. Last week, the family of the now deceased woman filed suit against St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta and the group responsible for the infomercial, Doctors for Medical Liability Reform, charging them with invasion of privacy.
