Tokyo-based Yamazaki Marunouchi Law Office has filed a lawsuit against Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities in the Tokyo District Court on behalf of 66 affected general Credit Suisse Additional Tier 1 (AT1) bond investors who are seeking about $36 million in compensation.

According to Taiju Yamazaki, the founding partner of Yamazaki Marunouchi Law Office, the Credit Suisse AT1 bonds were not suitable for general investors, and that issue has allegedly long been identified by Credit Suisse itself and the European regulatory and supervisory authorities.
