Mishcon de Reya, the U.K.-based firm that caters to the rich and the famous, has recently made a pricey purchase of its own.

It hired away two partners from its closest rival, Withers, in Hong Kong. And these new additions aren’t just any lateral hires—they are private client and U.S. tax partners Timothy Burns and Wei Zhang. Zhang was Withers’ Hong Kong managing director and the youngest regional head the firm has ever appointed.
