Facing a wide range of regulatory issues in Spain, global law firm Pinsent Masons has hired a new partner to lead its public law practice in Madrid.

Amaia Rivas Kortazar, former general counsel for the Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring in Spain, will join the firm on March 6 to lead the practice, advising primarily in the energy and financial services sectors, and collaborating with the firm’s global investment arbitration specialists, Pinsent Masons said in a statement.
