Ex-Cleary Gottlieb Veteran and 'Father' of EU Competition Law Passes Away

A lawyer considered one of the ‘fathers of EU competition law’ and a former leader in Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton’s Brussels office has passed away aged 85.

John Temple Lang, who spent 15 years as a senior lawyer within Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton’s Brussels competition practice, passed away last week, according to the firm.
