A legal career coach has called the uptick she has seen in burnout in the profession as “devastating”, as the industry continues to struggle with the issue across all levels of seniority.

Former Clifford Chance lawyer Tami Irokawa McGonical, who is now a career coach in the sector, made the comments at last week’s Women Influence and Power in Law U.K. conference during a roundtable discussion on burnout in the industry.
