The White House has released Douglas Emhoff’s tax records for 2020, providing an interesting peek into his life before he became the country’s second gentleman—which included $1.2 million in partnership income at DLA Piper.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband started out as an entertainment lawyer and was once the managing director of Venable’s West Coast business before moving to DLA Piper. In addition to being America’s first second gentleman, he also teaches at Georgetown Law.
