Zachary Fardon launched King & Spalding’s Chicago office in August, and the former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois is already proving that the reputation he built in that office will translate to growing his new one.

Patrick Collins will join King & Spalding’s Chicago base after spending the last dozen years at Perkins Coie in the Windy City, his new firm announced Monday. As co-lead prosecutors in a case that sent former Illinois Gov. George Ryan to prison, Collins and then assistant U.S. attorney Fardon worked so closely together that news reports dubbed the duo “Starsky & Hutch.”
