Conturso & Habgood and attorney Richard J. Habgood were sued for legal malpractice on Sept. 11 in Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Bucks County. The suit, brought by Stark & Stark on behalf of Beverly Wilke, accuses the defendants of negligently filing a lawsuit for uninsured motorist claims in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, rather than a New Jersey court as required by a forum selection clause in the plaintiff’s insurance policy, causing the plaintiff’s claims to be dismissed and become time-barred. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2023-05457, Wilke v. Habgood et al.
