With its most recent partner hire, Philadelphia-based White and Williams is also adding a new role to its executive ranks: chief privacy officer.

Richard Borden joined as a partner in New York City, where he’ll be a member of the firm’s cyberlaw and data protection group, as well as its intellectual property and corporate and securities practice groups. Borden comes from the Hartford, Connecticut, office of Robinson & Cole, which he joined just over a year ago.
