A Harris County 12-person jury awarded a Houston resident $1.2 billion in a damages trial for injuries an ex-boyfriend caused by publishing intimate photos and using her identity to commit fraud.

The verdict submitted after 30 minutes of deliberation provided the plaintiff, referred to as Jane Doe, $100 million for past mental anguish, $100 million for future mental anguish, and $1 billion in exemplary damages.
