Baker Botts has hired its first-ever chief client officer, Catherine Zinn, who served in that role at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe for the last five and a half years, and comes with deep ties to the technology industry.

Positions such as Zinn’s new role at Baker Botts have become an increased focus at many large firms, as they see the need for C-suite professionals to develop client strategy and forge close relationships with clients alongside lawyers. Particularly during a pandemic, the chief client officer is tasked with securing client satisfaction.
