Meyner and Landis in Newark has named Joseph R. McCarthy an equity partner. He joined the firm as an associate in 2012. He graduated from New York Law School in 2003 and Rowan University in 1999, where he received a B.A. in political science. McCarthy is a partner with the firm’s litigation group, where he concentrates in creditors’ rights, banking and commercial real estate. He is an experienced commercial litigator who represents private and institutional clients in a wide range of litigation matters in state and federal courts, including mortgage foreclosures, bankruptcy, workouts, lender liability actions, construction disputes, and real estate disputes. McCarthy is also a transactional attorney who represents clients in complex commercial real estate and business transactions.
