A New York hospital’s Big Law attorney has moved to quash a subpoena from the state attorney general seeking medical records of more than 5,000 patients—its probe stemming from discrimination complaints against the hospital.

Two obstetrics patients said they falsely tested positive for illegal opioids at Garnet Health Medical Center in Orange County, New York because they had consumed poppy seeds, the hospital’s lawsuit in state court by Bryn Goodman of Fox Rothschild states.
