The unveiling of a newly-finished façade at a historic Staten Island courthouse was marred by a brush with tragedy Tuesday when a man suffered an overdose on the recently restored steps.
Officials were preparing for a 3 p.m. ribbon-cutting when the man stumbled onto the steps and collapsed, Office of Court Administration spokesperson Lucian Chalfen said.
