Internecine warfare has broken out among State Senate Democrats over the nomination of Appellate Division, Second Department Presiding Justice Hector LaSalle for chief judge of the New York Court of Appeals.
At the center of this warfare is LaSalle, who would be the first person of color to hold the office of New York’s chief judge.
