A Long Island elder law boutique is the target of a lawsuit alleging one of its partners fabricated claims in hundreds of debt collection lawsuits on behalf of nursing home clients to pressure the families and friends of residents into repaying supposed debt obligations and attorney fees.

The law firm has denied the allegations of fabrication, but did not comment on an allegation that the firm has filed many of these collection suits.
