Last week, Clio held its Clio Cloud Conference for the ninth time overall and virtually for the second year in a row. But while the virtual conference format continues to be leveraged by many in legal in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the subject matters discussed at these conventions are almost night and day.

In 2020, many legal professionals and their service providers gathered virtually to discuss how to transition to remote working. Now, 19 months since U.S. shutdowns first rolled out, the legal profession is focused on addressing the impact of remote working. And based on the Clio Cloud Conference panels I attended, the legal industry must address its historical challenges and fears to make remote work sustainable and keep the profession thriving.
