It’s been just over a month since the Judicial Qualifications Commission of Georgia Hearing Panel recommended the Supreme Court of Georgia remove Douglas County Probate Judge Christina Peterson from office, following a judicial misconduct probe into 50 initial counts of alleged ethics violations.

But defense attorneys for the jurist—who’s campaigning to retain her judgeship in the May 21 nonpartisan primary election—aren’t willing to give up their client’s seat on the bench without a fight.
