Alston & Bird and McKool Smith filed a patent infringement lawsuit on Oct. 11 in North Carolina Eastern District Court targeting Lenovo Group and Motorola. The suit, brought on behalf of Swedish-headquartered Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, accuses the defendants of stalling licensing negotiations for a decade and infringing technology concerning privacy protection across wireless networks. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 5:23-cv-00569, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson v. Lenovo (United States), Inc.
