As Reed Smith expands in Miami, the partner increasingly at the center of its plans is a former New York attorney who took part in the recent exodus of professionals from the Northeast to South Florida.

Jodi Schwimmer said she felt burnt out from the New York lifestyle, having been doing the ”hustle and bustle for so long” and with two children. That led her and her husband, Eric, to buy a home in South Florida in the years before the COVID-19 pandemic, when real estate prices skyrocketed.
