The Cuban American Bar Association lost a “legal giant, a kind soul, an incredibly accomplished lawyer and jurist” Miriam Soler Ramos said in an interview, referring to Mario P. Goderich who served as its first president.

Former Third District Court of Appeal Judge Goderich was among the Cuban American lawyers who founded the organization in Miami in 1974. CABA has since grown into one of the most influential bar associations in South Florida.
