Miami-Dade County Court Judge Linda Stein said she was stunned when Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles T. Canady announced her name in a Zoom call this month for a coveted award.
“I thanked him and he said, ‘Now let me say a few words about you.’ That was wonderful,” Stein said. “Then he said a lot about me, and I was really thrilled.”
