Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder has racked up 83 plaintiffs in the mass tort litigation against Yale University for its alleged failure to protect patients from agonizingly invasive procedures due to a nurse diverting fentanyl.

Yale has not filed an answer to the allegations, or did its attorneys, Erika L. Amarante of Wiggin and Dana, and Patrick M. Noonan and Brock T. Dubin of Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey, respond to a request for comment.

“[Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder] represents 83 victims who experienced immense trauma and excruciating pain during their fertility procedures, after the Yale University Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Clinic [REI] failed to prevent and protect its patients from a mass drug diversion,” one of the attorneys for the plaintiffs, Sarah Steinfeld of Koskoff, said. “The Koskoff firm is continuing to seek justice for these victims and hold Yale REI accountable for its inexcusable systemic failures.”

Individual cases have been filed by Koskoff as plaintiffs come forward. The firm is seeking to consolidate the cases.
