The mother of a 5-year-old boy who was accidentally struck and killed by his grandfather while playing in the driveway of his Norwalk house has settled with the insurance carrier for $1.2 million.

Peter Tinnen-Strmiska and his then 13-year-old sister, China, were playing in front of their house in May 2016 when 76-year-old Clyde W. Tinnen sped into the driveway and ran over the boy, according to attorney Donald Papcsy, who represented Peter’s mother and the boy’s estate.
