April Perry, a senior attorney at GE HealthCare, has been nominated to serve as U.S. attorney in Chicago, which would make her the first woman to serve as Chicago’s top federal prosecutor.

The new role would not be unfamiliar territory for Perry.  She spent 12 years as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Northern District of Illinois.
