She soon realized she was on a dangerous path.

“As I started to create that foundation, I started to create some really healthy boundaries because I realized if I’m burning out, I’m not good for anyone,” she said.

Williams was one of the panelists in a session at this week’s General Counsel Conference East titled ”The Great Reflection: Burnout & The Growing Demands on In-House Counsel.”

She and fellow panelists said it’s critical for in-house legal leaders to identify and manage employee burnout by connecting with team members and modeling from the top down.
