Michelle Browning Coughlin and Laura Landenwich believe a professional conference in the 21st century should have the following: on-site child care included with the price of admission, a a nursing room that’s actually pleasant and provides livestreams of presentations, and compensation for every speaker.

Twenty-plus years into the millennium, the two attorneys have yet to see a conference with all—or, in most cases, any—of these features. So they decided to create one themselves.
