What was your route to the top?

When I joined my firm as an associate, my goal was to be elected partner. I worked hard to develop the necessary skills, experiences and exposure to accomplish that goal. I never envisioned becoming president of the firm. That came about because my partners saw in me the constant drive to better both myself and our firm. I believe that you should give your all in everything you do. You should continue to learn and grow. Hard work, dedication, determination and a desire to always be better are the characteristics that breed success. It’s also important to be a team player, collaborate with others, and focus on what is best for your organization. That was my route to becoming president of Richards, Layton & Finger.
