The discussion around diversity and inclusion has been revved up across the legal industry in the past year. But legal leaders must continue to push for improvement, namely by trying new approaches to the problems that persist, even if those attempts aren’t perfect on the first try, leaders in the space said Tuesday.

At an ALM Legalweek(year) 2021 session Tuesday titled “Making the Focus on Diversity Count,” panelists said they’re optimistic about diversity in the workplace, but were careful to explain their optimism reflects more than short-term gains and improving diversity metrics.
