As a former litigator and as in-house counsel at a multinational digital media and cloud services company, Robert has deep experience with both discovery issues and data protection regulations. At J2 Global, he oversees litigation and helps create ground-up compliance programs for data privacy.

Robert received his B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from New York University School of Law. He holds CIPP/US and CIPM certifications.

Over the course of his career, Bill has advised critical financial and law enforcement data hubs, major retail brands, and data-rich industrials holding personal data on a combined 300 million data subjects worldwide. An American lawyer (Georgetown Law) and European MBA (SDA Bocconi), he partners with stakeholders on the analysis and monetization of personal data in ways that are effective for the business, compliant with laws, and transparent for the individuals who entrust their personal data to the private sector. Today Bill serves as Fortive Corporation’s global privacy lawyer, and is based in London, UK.

Ifeoma Anekwe is an assistant general counsel in the legal discovery management practice group of JPMorgan Chase’s litigation department. Ms. Anekwe specializes in data privacy and cross-border transfers. Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, she was the director of legal process management at Strategic legal Solutions.

Ms. Anekwe has been in the eDiscovery field for over 20 years. She holds CIPP/E, CIPP/US and CIPM certifications and is a Six Sigma Green Belt.

A US-licensed attorney and expatriate based in Europe for more than 10 years, Ryan has cultivated an expertise in data protection and data privacy compliance across a career in eDiscovery and litigation support. With a particular interest in the area where cross-border discovery and data protection intersect, Ryan has worked with a myriad of clients to manage EU-based eDiscovery exercises while navigating data protection compliance challenges on both sides of “The Pond.” With the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) amidst other changes in the regulatory context, Ryan has assisted organizations in remediating cross-border discovery risks at every turn, with an eye toward solutions that utilize best practice technical and organizational measures, data management solutions and innovative technologies.

Ryan assists across a range of client engagements, with a focus on assessing protective controls for personal data across the lifecycle of the EDRM. He is also a frequent writer and speaker on the GDPR, as well as data protection compliance topics and challenges in the US and across the globe.

Ryan received his BA in English and Communications from Elon University, and his JD from Western New England University.
