For the Am Law 100 as a whole, average revenue per lawyer, the metric that we’ve long regarded as the most reliable measure of a firm’s financial health, increased by 4.2 percent, higher than the 3.2 percent increase at Am Law 100 firms last year.

In 2018, 85 firms posted a gain in RPL, compared with 79 in 2017. McGuireWoods posted 2018’s largest growth in RPL, with a 14 percent gain. Crowell & Moring had the largest drop, 10.4 percent.
