A federal judge in Virginia sided with Google this week on its motion for judgment on the pleadings in a dispute over patents related to geolocation of mobile devices.
Google argued, and the court agreed, that the technology is not patent-eligible under the Alice test, or 35 U.S.C. Section 101.
