The Senate Judiciary Committee recently asked lawyers for Judge Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, for any evidence they intend to rely on at Thursday’s hearing exploring claims the U.S. Supreme Court nominee sexually assaulted Ford at a high school party in suburban Washington in the 1980s.

Ford has alleged Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed, tried to remove her clothing and covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming. Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the claims. Ford’s lawyers at Washington’s Katz Marshall & Banks submitted to the judiciary committee four declarations from her husband and three friends who corroborate her sexual assault claims.
