When Hewlett Packard Enterprise needs to answer tough questions about staying in compliance with laws around the globe, it turns to Becky Rohr, the company’s vice president of anti-corruption and global trade. Rohr, who was formerly a high-level attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, works with employees and outside counsel around the world to ensure the Palo Alto, California-based information technology company is respecting local laws in the more than 70 countries where it operates.

The Recorder spoke with Rohr about her move in-house, how she manages a large global team and her work with governmental authorities in multiple jurisdictions. She’ll also be speaking about some of these topics at ALM’s annual Women, Influence & Power in Law Conference in October. This interview has been edited for clarity and length.
